Let's face it, tosogu (Japanese sword fittings) is a pretty eclectic field to be interested in, and there isn't a whole lot of information that isn't written in Japanese on them. This handbook is very useful because it condenses a lot of the descriptive terms for tosogu in one place.. While not as exhaustive a something like Kajihara Kotoken's visual glossary, its a lot easier to use and doesn't cost $600 (when you can find a set).I find myself reaching for this book all the time whenever I have to write anything serious about Japanese sword fittings. Highly recommended, particularly for western collectors who are not proficient at reading Japanese.

Not a great deal of content for the price
